We love the Russian River area for its beauty, diverse terrain and micro climates. Pinot Noir thrives in this cool and foggy climate area, with gentle breezes and ocean mist from the nearby Pacific ocean. This beautiful vineyard sits on rolling hills to the east of the Russian River, with well draining soil, warm days and cool night, which produce slowing developing fruit, which allows for complex but delicate flavors and aromas. The fruit was hand picked and sorted then aged in French oak for 9 months.
Aromas of spice, cola, floral notes of rose petals, cherry, and blueberry. A wine reflecting the diversity of this area, with flavors of soft red berries, dark cherry, clove, new leather and a touch of oak. Moderate ruby-purple color in the glass. A well-balanced and structured wine with a satiny mouth-feel and spicy at the end. This wine has good acid and we have found pairs well with pizza, chicken, turkey, pork, filet mignon, roasted beef, teriyaki, bbq, creamy bleu cheese and parmesan cheese. Clones: Pommard, 667
